We strive to create maps that are helpful, useful, attractive and fun, while highlighting the best that our towns have to offer.
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT LIGHTHOUSE MAPS
Lighthouse Maps, LLC currently publishes 150,000 printed maps, distributed year round by our advertisers, tourist information centers and hotels.
Our Maps are FREE to the public.
As part of our service, we offer advertisers a custom wooden map rack to neatly display the maps at your business location. Most businesses put our racks in a covered vestibule, by the door or register area where visitors will easily see them.
We offer FREE professional graphic design services for those that need help with ad creation. We also draw your building to capture the character and architecture which will help potential customers recognize your location.
Along with the printed ad, we highlight and label your business on the map. You also get a free value added web page on this site with your ad, business info, and a 100 word description and additional photos.
This web site receives over twenty thousand hits per year! This puts more eyes on your business with links to your website and social media sites.

We publish the map two times a year, usually in the winter and the summer. Our ad rates are for the entire year, and you can get added at either publication date. Contact Gary Owens for the latest rates, deadlines and any art production needs. Ad rates are based on the size of your ad, and can be paid monthly or up front for an additional discount.

Our professional Graphic Designer can help create an ad for you, or we can accept ad files, ready for print. See our ad sizes and specification here. If your location is already on the map, we will highlight it and label it with your business name. If your building is new or not on the map, we will draw it for you! All of this is included in our ad rates, regardless of ad size.

In addition to having your ad and location highlighted on the map, your business will also enjoy a customized listing on our website, free artwork creation and year-round distribution of maps around town. Oh, did we mention we print 150,000 maps a year!? That’s a lot of eyes on your business!

1) Contact Gary to confirm your ad size, artwork & info details and return the signed Map Ad form.
2) Provide a quality logo in vector format (ai, eps, pdf files) or a high resolution jpg or png file, as well as any photos, color, text, fonts, etc. that we need to create your ad. Or, provide a finished ad as a high res PDF file with fonts turned to outlines and images and colors specified as CMYK. See ad specs here.
3) For the website, we can also add a 100 word description and 2-5 additional photos. We need at least one high quality horizontal photo. Please email these to Gary.
4) We will send you a final proof of your ad in PDF format for your review and approval. Please be sure to check all spelling, numbers, address, website, etc. We need your approval before we go to print5) If you’re a new advertiser, let us know if you’d like a map rack. These are custom made for us to hold and display the maps for distribution.
6) Help support our vibrant community by recommending other places on the map and helping visitors use and save the map.
