The Ivoryton Playhouse is one of the oldest, continually running,
self-supporting theatres in the nation.
For more than 80 years, it has been a vital part of the state’s cultural landscape.
Initially opened as a summer theatre, it soon became one of America’s leading
showplaces, presenting a parade of stars from stage and screen. Today, the theatre
offers a year round professional season of musicals, comedies and dramas,
as well as programs for children and community events.
